A 17-year hospitality professional, it was in Crested Butte, Colorado that Jamie finally got fully sucked into the world of wine. While managing the bar at Elk Ave Prime, he joined the owners on a trip to Napa Valley and has been singular in his pursuit ever since.
Following that trip, and driven by his curiosity of all things wine, he ventured to the Willamette Valley to work the 2017 harvest at Adelsheim Vineyards. Falling in love with the coast, he has worked at some of the finest resorts in Oregon and California, including The Allison Inn, Grand Award recipient Post Ranch Inn, and 2 Michelin star Harbor House Inn.
It is here on the Central Coast Jamie has decided to call home. Remembering his time fondly at Post Ranch Inn and the region's bounty, he was lured to Santa Barbara County to run the historic program at The Wine Merchant Café in Los Olivos. Missing the call of fine dining, he has recently transitioned to Caruso's at the beautiful Rosewood Miramar Beach. Freshly immersed in the area for the past year, he is eager to share what this wonderful region has to offer.
