With more than thirteen years of experience in the Oregon wine industry, Megan currently serves as Trade Relations Manager for the Willamette Valley Wineries Association and Camp Manager for Oregon Pinot Camp.
Working in management for a number of Willamette Valley wineries, she’s sold their wines to restaurants and retailers across the country, directly to customers in tasting rooms and shipped them directly to doorsteps everywhere. Her career in wine began by owning and operating a retail wine shop after closing her first professional chapter in politics and government service.
Perhaps her gumption comes from working in politics. She started in California and moved on to a national level (which some might say quickly led to her appreciation for and love of wine). She just might be the only Willamette Valley wine professional that has been granted a top-secret clearance in a previous life – shhh!
In 2021, she founded her own small production Willamette Valley based low-alcohol bubbles brand, Well Played Wines. Her love for 90s rap and hip-hop guides the way, with the branding serving as a nod to the Notorious B.I.G. Think day-drinking in the sun with friends… without the headache.
She resides in the heart of the Willamette Valley, Oregon, where you might find her antiquing, wine tasting, enjoying some hard to find Bourbon, or improving her gardening skills. If she has any downtime after that you might find her donating blood at a local blood drive.
Megan is the moderator for the Willamette Valley Luncheon on Saturday, March 4, from 12:00 pm - 2:00pm.
