Midwestern born and bred, Mike found his way to the Chehalem Mountains via the usual route – getting a bit lost. He was lost in music, in academia, in thought, and often actually quite geographically lost but, like all wanderers, eventually found his way to a place he always meant to call home. Mike’s first introduction to Oregon wine was an Adelsheim Pinot noir back in 1997 and it was then that the die was cast, and the road began to form. Find Mike all over the country pouring Adelsheim wines, propping up his neighbors, and praising the region and its wines, but know that at the edge of his imagination will always be the long but inevitable way home.
