  • 2017 Adelsheim Sparkling Brut Rosé
    Chehalem Mountains
    Expand
The grapes for this Brut Rosé come entirely from our Bryan Creek estate vineyard nestled high in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. We absolutely love this site for sparkling wine, as it consistently produces lovely, mineral-driven wines with appealing stone fruit nuances.
    Suggested Retail Price: $85
  • 2021 Adelsheim Breaking Ground Pinot Noir
    Chehalem Mountains
    Expand
Grapes for this wine come from 8 select hillside sites within the Chehalem Mountains AVA, 77% of which are estate. These vineyards showcase the complexity of this AVA, covering a diversity of clones and rootstocks, and are planted on all three major soil types found in this region: 27% loess, 26% sedimentary, and 47% volcanic.
    Suggested Retail Price: $50
  • 2018 Adelsheim Ribbon Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir
    Ribbon Ridge
    Expand
The Ribbon Springs site is LIVE-certified and our largest estate vineyard around 100 acres, but only 55 of them are planted. The planted acres contain both Pinot noir and Chardonnay, with the rest of the property filled with beautiful forest lands. The elevation runs 400-600’ and is composed of sedimentary soil formed from ancient sea beds. This year the wine is derived primarily from Pommard clone with a touch of clone AS-2 for added complexity.
    Suggested Retail Price: $85
  • 2019 Adelsheim Quarter Mile Lane Vineyard Pinot Noir
    Chehalem Mountains
    Expand
This wine comes entirely from block 1 at our Quarter Mile Lane vineyard. This exceptional block was hand-planted (and handwatered!) by David and Ginny Adelsheim in 1974 and carries the foundational legacy of this winery into the present. It is very special to us and we always treat it with the reverence it’s due.
    Suggested Retail Price: $125

Description

EXCEPTIONAL WINES OF PLACE INSPIRED BY THE BOUNTY AND WILD MAGIC OF OREGON AND THE CHEHALEM MOUNTAINS.

Luck, fate, and a single-minded determination to make world-class wine in Oregon led David and Ginny Adelsheim to purchase their first 19 acres just outside Newberg, Oregon in 1971. Drawn to the uniqueness of the land and its proximity to Portland, it was here they decided to stake their claim, plant their first rows of Pinot noir along Quarter Mile Lane, and establish what would become the Chehalem Mountains’ first-ever winery in 1978—Adelsheim.

Since 1971, we have obsessively pursued benchmark wines that celebrate the unique bounty of our estate vineyards -- home to some of Oregon’s most diverse soil types, elevations, and exposures. As a founding winery of the Willamette Valley and Chehalem Mountains’ first winery, Adelsheim has played an instrumental role in nearly every aspect of the Oregon wine story. As leaders, we believe it is our duty to be steadfast stewards of this abundant land and to rally our community in support of equity and education. Adelsheim is a LIVE certified sustainable winery and a seven-time Wine & Spirits Top 100 Winery.
