  • 2021 Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir
    Russian River
    Expand
Silver Eagle Vineyard is located near the town of Occidental in the southern reaches of the Russian River drainage. Considered by some to be the premier area for Pinot Noir in the county, the vineyard lies on the backside of the coast ridge giving it a sweet spot of just enough exposure to Pacific breezes. WINEMAKER’S NOTES: The vineyard soils here are a Gold Ridge mix with red shale with clones VR, Calera and Swan which offer a different profile than the nearby Lucky Well. Ripe red berries, pomegranate and cherry fruits, wet forest floor and savory herb notes. Well textured in the mouth, finishes medium dry and lingering. • 2021 Elswick Vineyard Pinot Noir
    Anderson Valley
    Expand
Our debut vintage! Elswick Vineyard is in the cool, deep-end of the Anderson Valley, which is a cooler climate site, producing subdued wines that are simultaneously elegant and stealthily structured. Encompassing fruit from all three sections of the vineyard at different altitudes (Summit, Rise, Grove). The Grove section being just above the Navarro river with river cobble soils, the Rise, a sun-drenched gently sloped mid-section, and the Summit, the steepest section at top surrounded by redwoods. TASTING NOTES: Cool darker fruits of black cherry and brambly blackberry permeate the nose. The fruit is accented by touches of sassafras, white pepper, oyster mushroom and black tea. Further nuances of sea air and wet river cobble provide a distinct minerality. Supple and round in the mouth with fine-grained texture. Bright, uplifting finish. Drink Now-2028. 10 barrels produced. Description

B. Wise Vineyards is about people, the place, and the sharing of great wines. We sited the winery on top of a ridge that looks out over the Sonoma Valley. While this was partly a vineyard decision, it’s also our home. I put in peach trees, persimmons, and avocados that everyone says won’t fruit this far north, but I’ve got fruit on them. It’s through this bent of farming, that we’re able to make wines that satisfy something deep down.

At B. Wise Vineyards, we feature Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Tannat, Cab Franc, and Syrah from here on Moon Mountain, Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast and Anderson Valley, and select Pinot Noir sourced out of Willamette, Oregon.
