  Our vineyard selection for the Sonoma County Pinot Noir has continued to improve over the years. We source primarily from select vineyards in the Sonoma County sub-appellations of Los Carneros, Petaluma Gap, Sonoma Coast and Sonoma Valley. This is the most important wine in the Banshee lineup, and we treat it as such. An exciting, yet friendly wine, bursting at the seams with aromas of dried cherry, earthy peat moss and Redwood forest with notes of hyacinth, sandalwood and confectioners sugar. The flavors combine to create a fruit-driven front palate and very subtle oak influence. The finish is bright, with a nice pop of acidity and flavors of tart raspberry and bramble to create great weight for an excellent food wine, as well as a charming drinking experience by itself.

  This quintessential cool climate pinot noir transports you to a fog laden redwood grove with rich forest aromatics of fresh pine needles and resin. Bright flavors of cranberry and tart cherry are balanced by earthy forest floor, peet and a hint of savory. This big, muscular wine with tightly wound tannins is beautiful now but will only get better with time.

• 2019 Banshee Sullivan Vineyard Sonoma Mountain Pinot Noir

  Straddling the Bennett Valley and Sonoma Mountain AVAs, Sullivan Vineyard encompasses eleven acres along a ridge at an elevation of 750-900 feet where the irregular folds and crevices of the mountain create a unique microclimate, ideal for cool climate pinot noir. The vineyard is streaked with a variety of well-drained soil material including Spreckels clay and volcanic material. This bold pinot noir is mouth-filling and lush, expressing its rugged mountain roots, with aromatics of cherry cola and maple syrup with hints of ginerbread cookie and crème brûlée. Smooth integrated acid leads to a medium-bodied pinot noir with flavors of cherry and plum compote highlighted by light notes of savory mushroom and pine forest. A solid, masculine pinot noir with a lingering finish and firm, structured tannins.
