  • 2021 Lucienne Pinot Noir, Lone Oak Vineyard
    Santa Lucia Highlands AVA
    Expand
Our 146-acre certified sustainable estate Lone Oak Vineyard sits at the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands where it is cooled by ocean breezes from the Monterey Bay. With gentle, east-facing slopes and elevations between 180 and 500 feet, the vineyard’s ancient alluvial soils assure excellent drainage. Morning fog lingers here while the wind picks up in the afternoon, leading to a long, cool growing season that creates concentrated and intensely aromatic Pinot Noir.
    Suggested Retail Price: $60
  • 2021 Lucienne Pinot Noir, Doctor's Vineyard
    Santa Lucia Highlands AVA
    Expand
Located in the middle stretch of the Santa Lucia Highlands, the 243-acre Doctor’s Vineyard experiences warmer temperatures and higher winds than Hahn’s other estate vineyards in the region. Certified sustainable, the vineyard ranges from 320 feet to 720 feet above sea level, with gently sloped hillsides and wide row spacing that offers greater sun exposure. The dry and slightly warmer climate here results in a riper, more robust Pinot Noir.
    Suggested Retail Price: $60
  • 2021 Lucienne Pinot Noir, Smith Vineyard
    Santa Lucia Highlands AVA
    Expand
Curving along the ridges and valleys of the Santa Lucia Highlands, the Smith Vineyard is Hahn’s highest elevation vineyard, reaching 590 to 1,280 feet above sea level. Originally planted in 1974, Smith is also Hahn’s first estate vineyard, and today its 131 acres are certified sustainable. With rocky well-drained soils and eastern exposures that sit well above the fog line, this is a cool climate site with moderate wind and ample sunshine that contributes to a long growing season. The terroir and ample sunlight here result in an elegant style of Pinot Noir.
    Suggested Retail Price: $60

  • 2021 Hahn Appellation Series Pinot Noir
    Arroyo Seco AVA

Located south of the Santa Lucia Highlands, Ste. Philippe sits in an ancient, dry riverbed with well-drained, sandy loam soils. Suggested Retail Price: $22

Description

Hahn Family Wines is rooted in the Santa Lucia Highlands (SLH) appellation of Monterey County, California, where founders Nicolaus (Nicky) and Gabby Hahn have been producing fine wine since 1980. Early on, Nicky recognized the special qualities and grape growing conditions of the SLH, and led efforts to establish the region as an AVA, a status attained in 1991. Today, Hahn Family Wines is one of the most awarded US Pinot Noir producers, and the Hahn's are one of SLH's largest family land holders with four estate vineyards, totaling 650 acres.
