Since Kosta Browne's founding over twenty-five years ago, we have been on an unrelenting mission to produce the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines that can stand beside the best in the world. Founders Dan Kosta and Michael Browne started with humble beginnings while working together in a local restaurant in 1997. Through perseverance, passion, and hard work, our wines became the source of some of America's greatest terroir-driven Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, eventually earning Wine Spectator's "Wine of the Year" for our 2009 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.
Today, we have roots in the most sought-after soils on the West Coast. From the windswept Sonoma Coast to the hallowed vine rows of the Russian River Valley to the untamed Anderson Valley and the cool-climate enclaves of the Santa Lucia Highlands and Sta. Rita Hills, we are honored to work with some of the most celebrated vineyards while remaining dedicated to the values of our founders. Obsessed with quality and unafraid to seek artistry by being unconventional, our team continues its mission, meticulously crafting irresistible wines with thought-provoking complexity and ever-evolving character.
