  • 2021 Lincourt Vineyards Pinot Noir, RSR
    Sta. Rita Hills
    Expand
Lincourt wines are produced primarily from two estate vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA – wines that are rich, structured, fruit forward, and regionally exact. The fruit for this wine was harvested and sorted in the vineyard prior to arrival at the winery. The clusters were then carefully destemmed to keep the berries intact. Additional hand sorting removed any jack stems before the fruit was transferred to small, stainless steel, open-top fermenters. The juice and skins were cold soaked for 4 days prior to fermentation and then gently punched down for several days. After primary fermentation was complete, the new wine was drained and the skins were gently pressed. The 2021 Rancho Santa Rosa Pinot Noir embodies the essence of the cool climate St. Rita Hills. This wine opens with aromas of ripe fruit, dark boysenberry, pomegranate, with ribbons of red and black cherry. On the palate this Pinot Noir offers classic notes of black pepper, boysenberry, plum, and dark cherry with a soft finish of dark cacao and pomegranate acidity. The wine has moderate tannins, balanced acidity, and lush fruit on the finish.

  • 2021 Lincourt Vineyards Willie Mae Pinot Noir
    Sta. Rita Hills
    Expand
Lincourt wines are produced primarily from two estate vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA – wines that are rich, structured, fruit forward, and regionally exact. The sustainably-farmed fruit for the Willie Mae Pinot Noir is part of the original Spanish Land Grant, Rancho Santa Rosa, and is one of Santa Barbara’s most historic properties. This beautiful south-facing hillside climbs from 500 to 1,000 feet above sea level. This wine features clones 115, 667, and 459. Following harvest, the fruit was cold soaked for four days and then fermented in stainless steel tanks with regular punch downs to extract maximum color and flavor. It was aged in French and American oak barrels (30% new) for 16 months before bottling. The 2021 Willie Mae opens with aromas of confectionery raspberries and cream, cola, and delicate violet candy. On the palate, the wine is mouthwatering, with accents of hibiscus tea, cherry cola, and blackberry. The wine is medium-bodied with balanced French oak and bold acidity, reminiscent of raspberry sorbet with hints of black pepper on the finish. This wine truly showcases the elegance of clonal expression from the Dijon clone 115.
    Suggested Retail Price: $75
