Description

tercero wines has been hand crafting small lot wines using grapes from leading Santa Barbara County vineyards for nearly two decades. Larry Schaffer, owner and winemaker, takes a very 'old world' and minimalist approach to his winemaking - 100% whole cluster fermentation and extended aging in older French oak on their lees for reds and extended barrel aging in older French oak and/or stainless steel aging on all whites and roses. The idea is to allow the grapes, the process and the uniqueness of each vintage and each sight shine through.
