  • 2020 Donum Carneros Estate Pinot Noir
    Carneros
    Expand
INTRODUCTION The Carneros Pinot Noir is our flagship wine made every vintage since Donum’s inception in 2001. Blended from vineyard blocks spanning the Estate, the blend is carefully assembled using only barrels that meet our rigorous quality standards. The grapes are organically grown, and fermentation uses yeast native to the Estate. Each block is harvested and fermented separately and then aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. In the last month, we select the barrels that best represent the terroir of the Estate and the Carneros region in the final blend. WINEMAKER NOTES Deep ruby to garnet in color, the 2020 Carneros Pinot Noir shows classic Pinot Noir aromas of black cherry and currant with hints of violet and flint. The palate is brooding with blueberry and blackberry joined by graphite, roasted meat and olive notes. The finish is rich and concentrated, with cardamom joined by dark fruit flavors. Recommended drinking window is 2023 - 2028.
    Suggested Retail Price: $95.00
  • 2020 Donum Three Hills Pinot Noir
    Carneros Estate
    Expand
INTRODUCTION The Donum Estate is nestled in the rolling hills of Carneros with three prominent hills marking the ranch's northern, eastern and southern boundaries. Three Hills Pinot Noir pays homage to this undulating landscape and is selected from the cooler, later ripening portions of the vineyard. The result is a slightly lighter and more ethereal wine than our Carneros Pinot Noir, yet it still has concentration and depth. Blending occurs after 14 months of aging in French oak, with bottling following 2 months later. WINEMAKER NOTES Medium to deep ruby in color, the 2020 Three Hills Pinot Noir has an exuberant nose of black cherry, cedar, anise, sandstone, wild blueberry and black currant. The palate shows lighter notes of strawberry and cherry, along with apple pie and sandalwood, finishing long and focused with chewy tannin and minerality. Recommended drinking window is 2023 - 2028.
    Suggested Retail Price: $95.00
  • 2020 Donum Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
    Carneros
    Expand
INTRODUCTION The Winside Vineyard is our second, smallest estate vineyard located in the heart of the Russian River Valley appellation. Planted in 1997, Winside features 14 acres of Pinot Noir planted to different clones. The Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is blended from across these blocks; each is fermented separately in open-top stainless steel tanks and then undergoes secondary fermentation in French oak barrels. After 16 months of aging, we assemble the final blend from the finest barrels for each parcel. WINEMAKER NOTES Deep ruby in color with a strikingly fruity nose of fresh black cherry, plum, raspberry and black currant, the palate echoes these fruit notes with juicy berry, nectarine and Santa Rosa plum but turns savory with notes of cedar and espresso. The finish veers back towards the fruit spectrum, with intense fresh red and black fruit held together by a structure of fine tannins and firm acidity. Recommended drinking window is 2023 - 2028.
    Suggested Retail Price: $95.00
