  • 2019 The Four Graces Dundee Hills Reserve Pinot Noir
    Dundee Hills
    Expand
The Dundee Hills Reserve Pinot Noir is the result of ongoing observation in the vineyard to select the best fruit from specific rows and blocks. The Foley Family Estate Vineyard which produces this wine boasts the jory soils well known for their iron-rich, fertile characteristics. Our 2019 Dundee Hills Reserve Pinot Noir displays a dark ruby color. Nuanced aromas of violets, rhubarb, moist earth and graham cracker crust set the tone. Juicy wild strawberry coat the palate with notes of cocoa and black tea highlighted in the background. The use of new French oak barrels in this wine supports the fruit and adds a touch of baking spice aroma where the contribution of older French oak barrels allows the tannins to develop gracefully over time. The finish is silky and long, which is a characteristic of Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.

Each “Grace” in this series highlights the climate, land and fruit charactersitics of our indiviual estate vineyards. All fruit for our Deepsown Pinot Noir was sourced from our Foley Family Estate Vineyard. Own-rooted in the famous Jory soil of Willamette Valley, the vines from blocks 2A, 5 and 9 combine the unique qualities of Clones 115, Wadenswil and Pommard. Our 2019 Deepsown Pinot Noir is synonymous with elegance and finesse. Aromatics of ripe raspberry and cherry are accented by notes of caramel, earth and forest floor. The palate draws you in with flavors of dark black cherry and hints of earth and sage with fine, structured tannins.
