FAQ

You'll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about attending the World of Pinot Noir on this page. But if you still can't find the information you need, please email us at [email protected] or call us at (805) 489-1758.

  • Do I need to print out my tickets?

Save some paper! We scan the tickets from your phone or look up your order by name for check-in. If you happen to lose your ticket, mobile check-in will save the day. But don’t forget your identification. We want to verify that it’s you!

  • Are tickets refundable?

No, all ticket sales are final. If you have any questions about refunding or transferring your tickets, please contact our ticket provider, Ticketsauce for their policies.

  • The name on the ticket doesn’t match the attendee’s name. Is that okay?

Yes, all tickets are transferable. As long as the new ticket holder has the mobile ticket or knows the name of the person who purchased the ticket, we can easily check them in.

  • When was World of Pinot Noir founded?

The non-profit World of Pinot Noir was established in 2001 by a small, dedicated group of winemakers from California’s Central Coast. The group's mission is to bring together the world’s foremost Pinot Noir producers, and in a gorgeous setting, celebrate the delicious wine grape.

  • Is there a schedule of events?

Yes, we have two and a half days of seminars, lunches, wine tasting and dinners. It’s a grand celebration of Pinot Noir. Find the full schedule of events here.

  • How can I become a sponsor for World of Pinot Noir?

Please contact [email protected] for sponsorship inquiries.

  • What should I wear?

California casual during the days and evenings. The sun usually shines bright on the event, but at night temperatures can often drop by 20 degrees. Do as the locals do: bring layers! Dinner guests have an opportunity to elevate their experience and dress more formal. Ex: cocktail attire.

  • What will the weather be like while we are there?

Santa Barbara’s weather in March is typically partly sunny and high of mid 6os. In the morning, the coastal fog rolls in then dissipates by the afternoon, so we suggest wearing layers. In the event there is rain, all outdoor events will be moved indoors.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Due to Health Department restrictions, dogs are not allowed at any World of Pinot Noir events. Some of the hotels do allow pets - please check with them directly.

  • What about children?

All World of Pinot Noir events are for attendees 21 years and older. Some area hotel properties do provide childcare services if you are traveling with small children.

  • Can I buy tickets at the event?

Yes, tickets can be purchased online or at our onsite concierge desk. However, many of our events sell out. We recommend purchasing in advance to guarantee availability.

  • What kinds of payment do you accept at the event?

We accept all major credit cards. World of Pinot does not accept cash payments.

  • Where do I park for World of Pinot Noir events?

See all parking and transportation information here.

  • What time should I arrive for my events?

Because our World of Pinot Noir staff want you checked in before the event begins, we suggest arriving at least 15 minutes before the start time.

  • Can I purchase wine at World of Pinot Noir?

Yes! Our Collector’s Auction is filled with large format bottles and special packages from our participating wineries. Wine purchased at the Collector’s Auction will be shipped to your home.

  • What does the Silent Auction benefit?

In keeping with our mission, a portion of the proceeds from our two Charity Silent Auctions will be donated to non-profit institutions and/or scholarships that help further educate and enlighten the world of the storied Pinot Noir grape.
