Grand Siècle, the prestige cuvée of the House of Laurent-Perrier, uses the art of assemblage to "recreate the perfect year," one better than nature could ever provide. The House’s trailblazer Bernard de Nonancourt's relentless pursuit of perfection led him to realize that no single vintage offered the perfect oenological year. To achieve the finest expression of the Laurent-Perrier style, one that boasts freshness, purity, and elegance, Bernard believed the prestige champagne should instead be created through the art of assemblage; blending three complementary Laurent-Perrier declared vintages together. With this concept, Grand Siècle focuses on iterations rather than individual years. The first Iteration was released in 1959, and since then the House has recreated the perfect year only 26 times.
Champagne Laurent-Perrier
The House of Laurent-Perrier has been crafting fresh and elegant champagnes for over 200 years. Nestled in a Grand Cru village, the House is family- and female-run, fiercely independent, and focused exclusively on champagne. Under the historic domaine and winery in the heart of France’s renowned Champagne region, stretch over 11 km of chalk cellars. Every bottle of Laurent-Perrier spends years in these cellars developing their complex flavors and fine bubbles. Because Laurent-Perrier’s House style prizes freshness and elegance, all of champagnes are fermented in stainless steel tanks to best preserve the aromas and the flavors of the high-quality grapes used. Laurent-Perrier is dedicated to sustainable viticulture and winemaking and is proud to have two rigorous certifications in sustainability. Priding itself on quality and consistency, the House has become one of the international leaders in Champagne.
