How to Master the Charcuterie Board

One of the best things about crafting a charcuterie board is that you can put a wide array of foods of your choosing.

A charcuterie board can be an assortment of:

  • Cured meats
  • Cheeses
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Olives and pickles
  • Nuts
  • Dips, jams and mustard
  • Honey
  • Crackers and bread

WHAT GOES ON A CHEESE AND CHARCUTERIE BOARD?

HOW DO I ASSEMBLE MY PLATTER?

  1. Anchor the platter or board by spacing out your selected blocks of cheeses across the surface
  2. Add and arrange your bowls and dishes of olives, dips and jams
  3. Fill empty spots on the board with meats such as salami, soppressata, prosciutto, coppa and calabrese
  4. Add in your crackers and breads
  5. Whatever empty spaces are left, fill them in with nuts and fruits such as Marcona almonds, cherries, grapes, dried cranberries, dried apricots and figs
  6. Finish up the board with small sprigs of rosemary, thyme or any other herbs you want
  7. Enjoy your delicious creation with your favorite bottle of Pinot Noir
