Growing up in Wisconsin, Jake wasn’t exposed to wine until late in his career while he was traveling as a professional triathlete and brand manager in the endurance sports industry (a trip to Santa Barbara being the culprit).
Eager to immerse himself in the industry, Jake found his way to Oregon, where he now serves as the Oregon Wine Educator for Jackson Family Wines. In this role, he leads elevated tastings, regional seminars, and vineyard tours for VIPs, collectors, and trade professionals. He is privileged to work with some of the most esteemed producers of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Traditional Méthode Sparkling Wine, including Gran Moraine, Zena Crown, WillaKenzie, and Penner-Ash.
Jake refines his craft as a Floor Sommelier at Jory at The Allison Inn, home to an extensive global selection of 1,000+ wines, including one of the world’s most comprehensive Oregon Wine collections.
Jake’s passion for wine goes beyond the glass - he’s dedicated to education, inclusivity, and fostering a true sense of community. Whether he’s sharing the stories behind each bottle or creating welcoming spaces for meaningful connections, he believes wine is best enjoyed when it brings people together.
