  A high-elevation, venerable site in the Dundee Hills AVA, the Murto Vineyard is an exceptional addition to the Authentique lineup. Unique among its neighbors, the fruit from this vineyard boasts layered and complex flavors and produces highly aromatic wines. Red currant and fresh raspberry are punctuated by mixed peppercorn and wet earth. The palate is dark yet vibrant: as much cacao and leather as bing cherry and chocolate lollipop. The tannins are strong but restrained by the lushness of the mid-palate. A wine sure to cellar well.

  Ribbon Ridge AVA

  This rich and full-bodied Pinot noir exemplifies the best of the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The nose features aromas remiscent of cozy winter evenings: vanilla, barrel spice, blueberry and chai tea. A hint of fresh blackberry keeps things bright and transitions to the palate with cardamom, and a subtle nod to calabrian chili. The dark, full, spicy palate is layered and well-strucutred. Cocoa powder, espresso beans, nutmeg, and white peppercorn add complexity to the bevvy of dense blue fruit on display.

• 2019 Authentique Ridgecrest Vineyard

  Ribbon Ridge AVA

  The 2019 Ridgecrest Pinot Noir is supple on the palate with firm structure and plush tannins. It’s highly evocative of the Chehalem Mountains and Ribbon Ridge AVA with layers of dark, brooding fruit: cedar, lavender, black cherry, and dark currants dominate the entry. The aromas are perfumed with high tones of fruit and flowers in addition to cranberry, fresh coffee, chocolate, cigar box, and allspice. These carry through to the wine, leading to a persistent and memorable finish.
