Since its inception 40 years ago, Frank Ostini and Gray Hartley have been making balanced, traditionally produced wines of finesse. The wines express the essence of the great vineyards of the Santa Barbara region. They are also food-friendly; an important consideration especially for Frank as owner/chef of Hitching Post II steakhouse. That motivation shapes the style, creating various interpretations of elegant yet age worthy wines of character. Pinot Noir has been on their menu from the start, and they currently make 10 different Pinots annually, half vineyard designated.
