Holocene is focused on exploring the terroir of the Willamette Valley through the lens of Todd Alexander, winemaker for numerous brands in the Pacific Northwest (Force Majeure, WeatherEye, From the Sky Down and more) and formerly of Bryant Family Vineyard in the Napa Valley. Started with the 2015 vintage, Holocene is a small winery, producing approximately 1000 cases per year of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with an emphasis on whole cluster, native yeast, freshness and general all-around low impact winemaking, letting the vintage and sites show through, with the goal of creating some of the very best Pinot Noir wines around.
