  Tasting Notes: A wine that exudes finesse with aromas of raspberry, cranberry, dried flower, and red tea, along with hints of earth. The tannins are soft and inviting with a juicy midpalate showing notes of refined red fruit flavors that add complexity to the mouthwatering finish. Vintage Notes: This was an excellent vintage that grew a bountiful crop with great structure. The March miracle left the soil with plenty of moisture to support the plants through the end of May. The long, warm summer saw very few extreme heat events, allowing fruit to set the stage for vibrant and expressive flavors. The long, relatively mild finish to the season helped preserve the freshness and finesse with abundant hang time providing great color and soft tannins.   Tasting Notes: A well-structured Pinot Noir that delivers expressive fruit aromas of mulberry, boysenberry, and black tea with earthy notes and violet accents. The mid-palate is supported by generous juicy flavors of dark fruit and sweet oak spice, fine-grained tannins, and bright acidity that prolong the finish. Vintage Notes: The season began as one of the coldest we have seen with 22 nights of below-freezing weather between February and May 2020, causing some damage to the new buds. Soils remained dry from drought and lack of rain. The majority of our spring rain came in mid-May, when the clusters were flowering, and caused some shatter, reducing the crop size. The remaining growing season was mild and the weather was ideal. With harvest on the horizon, we experienced multiple days of severe heat, with temperatures in Carneros reaching well over 100 degrees and causing major crop loss. Hyde Vineyards was not impacted by the fires and the crop was all harvested prior to their occurrence. This vintage was challenging from multiple angles, but the resulting wines show great concentration and are reminiscent of the 2015 and 2017 vintages.
