There are two Grand Tastings, hosted on Friday and Saturday:

Friday Grand Tasting: February 28, 2:30 - 6pm.

Saturday Grand Tasting: March 1, 2:30 - 6pm.
The expected attendance is 800-1000 guests. Your registration includes two pouring passes for the day you are registered to pour, additional passes must be purchased in advance.

Eligibility:

• Brands from California are invited to register for one day of the Grand Tastings (Friday or Saturday).
• Brands from outside of California are invited to register for their choice of one or two days of the Grand Tastings (Friday or/and Saturday).
• International brands are invited to register for their choice of one or two days of the Grand Tastings at no cost (Friday or/and Saturday).

As part of your participation fee, all participants are required to donate and ship a large format bottle (or two 750 ml bottles) of wine for the WOPN Silent Auction. In keeping with our mission, a portion of the proceeds from our silent auction will be donated to non-profit institutions and/or scholarships that help further educate and enlighten the world of the storied Pinot Noir grape.

The 2025 WOPN Silent Auction will be conducted online. Our virtual format allows you to encourage your customers to bid on these special packages and participate. The Silent Auction will kick-off prior to us reuniting at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara on October 21 and commence on November 1, 2024.

New this year, all silent auction items will be shipped direct to consumer. This will give you full access to your auction lot winner.

Your donation may be combined with other donations to create unique, sought after auction lots. Participants who fail to submit wine by the deadline may forfeit their opportunity to participate in future WOPN events.

A link to enter your auction items will be provided in your confirmation email.

In addition to the Grand Tastings, there are the following opportunities to showcase your brand. Please check the box if you would like to take advantage of each opportunity. We look forward to sharing a glass – or three – of Pinot with you.

To streamline the guest experience and create new marketing opportunities, WOPN has developed a variety of ways wineries and wine associations may participate beyond the Grand Tasting. These options include a sponsored lunch, a dinner and special Grand Tasting Experiences. These WOPN experiences are limited and will be available to wineries who support the WOPN mission on a first come, first serve basis and by discretion of the World of Pinot Noir organizers and Board of Directors.

The selection committee will start reviewing applications in August. Please consider these options and provide a description of the experience, spokesperson (s) and wines you will present. These details will help WOPN organizers in finalizing the 2025 event experience. You may consider aligning efforts with other brands.

Ritz-Carlton Bacara

Join us for the World of Pinot Noir’s Opening Night Party at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara as we kick off the weekend festivities. Enjoy specially themed wines, favorites from the WOPN Library and hors d'oeuvres prepared by The Ritz-Carlton Bacara. The Opening Night Party is expected to sell out. Please make your plans early for 2025.

Tickets are $150 per person*.

The WOPN Technical Symposium will be held February 25 – February 27 at the Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa in Pismo Beach. This is an opportunity for winemaking and production teams to get together and learn from one another. Space is limited. Priority registration will be given to those wineries participating in the Friday and Saturday Grand Tasting events.

Sparkling base wine session on Tuesday, February 25 from 11:30 am – 4 pm will be determined based upon participant interest.

The following days are dedicated to Pinot Noir samples from the 2024 vintage. During the 2.5 days of Tech, winemakers will evaluate Pinot Noir wines in a peer setting. Winemakers, enologists, cellar crew, vineyard managers and others in your winemaking production team are invited and encouraged to attend. What about your winemaking colleagues across the globe? Any international brand participating in WOPN can sign up their winemaker for a complimentary Tech registration. We endorse worldwide collaboration and learning.

Tech Details:

Cost: $600 per attendee.

• Two days of in-depth tasting/winemaker discussion of 2024 Pinot Noir samples

Guest tickets

Purchasing guest tickets includes your guests in all meals during the symposium.
Cost: $450 per person.

Tech Symposium

• Space is limited. Priority registration will be given to those wineries participating in the Friday and Saturday Grand Tasting events.
• Lodging is not included in your registration. Upon registration you will receive a separate lodging link.
• Up to 4 people can attend the Technical Symposium from each winery participant.

Cancellation policy: Participants will receive a full registration refund if cancelled up until December 20, 2024. Any registration cancellations after that date will not receive a refund.

Tech Symposium Guests are included in all meals during the symposium.
