The WOPN Technical Symposium will be held February 25 – February 27 at the Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa in Pismo Beach. This is an opportunity for winemaking and production teams to get together and learn from one another. Space is limited. Priority registration will be given to those wineries participating in the Friday and Saturday Grand Tasting events.
Sparkling base wine session on Tuesday, February 25 from 11:30 am – 4 pm will be determined based upon participant interest.
The following days are dedicated to Pinot Noir samples from the 2024 vintage. During the 2.5 days of Tech, winemakers will evaluate Pinot Noir wines in a peer setting. Winemakers, enologists, cellar crew, vineyard managers and others in your winemaking production team are invited and encouraged to attend. What about your winemaking colleagues across the globe? Any international brand participating in WOPN can sign up their winemaker for a complimentary Tech registration. We endorse worldwide collaboration and learning.

Winery Associations, Vineyard Designates and Importer tables add another touchpoint to World of Pinot Noir attendees. These organization tables increase regional awareness and create a cost-effective way for non-participating WOPN wineries to showcase their brand. Increased exposure of Pinot Noir producing regions creates another layer of wine education and content for both consumers and the industry.

To streamline the guest experience and create new marketing opportunities, WOPN has developed a variety of ways wineries and wine associations may participate beyond the Grand Tasting. These options include a sponsored lunch, a dinner, seminars and special Grand Tasting Experiences. These WOPN experiences are limited and will be available to wineries who support the WOPN mission on a first come, first serve basis and by discretion of the World of Pinot Noir organizers and Board of Directors.
The selection committee will start reviewing applications in September. Please consider these options and provide a description of the experience, spokesperson (s) and wines you will present. These details will help WOPN organizers in finalizing the 2025 event experience. You may consider aligning efforts with other brands.
Winemaker Lunch in the Rotunda (One spot available for Friday and One for Saturday)
Consider hosting a three-course, traditional sit-down lunch in the Rotunda of The Ritz-Carlton, Bacara. For this experience, two wines per course is recommended (up to six wines total). This opportunity is ideal for a single winery to showcase a specific AVA, sub-AVA, region or vineyard. Help customize the program and menu to pair with your wines and choose the spokesperson(s). Work with WOPN event organizers to price the lunch, which can accommodate up to 120 guests. This experience is available for $5,000* and can be split with other producers or a regional association.

Hosted Lunch at Angel Oak (One spot available for Friday and One for Saturday)
Sponsor a reception style lunch with food stations in the Angel Oak restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Bacara. OR Sponsor plated service featuring a prix fixe menu with wine pairings. We recommend selecting a theme (ex: sparkling wines, Rosé, vineyard designated wines, etc.) to create a casual vibe with serious wine and food. This opportunity is ideal for a regional association, a brand with a large portfolio or a group of wineries. Working alongside WOPN event organizers you will be part of creating a program aligned with your goals, develop a menu to compliment the wine theme and create the experience for up to 120 guests. Available for $5,000*.

Grand Tasting Experience
Are you looking for an enhanced space to showcase your brand? WOPN offers limited experiential spaces. Ideas may include: interactive experiences, food and wine pairings, Photo Booth or another great idea to explore with the WOPN Team. Spaces begin at $5,000 and are limited.
